Wasn’t expecting this plot summary!

I almost didn’t click on this book because from the cover it looked like a cheesy novel. But I was pleasantly surprised by the plot summary and first look. The magical realism elements promised here are an interesting addition to the story of this young woman finding herself in the south. I, too, am now curious to know what makes the blackbird pie so special!
