Small time Southern town with mysteries and secrets!

This book reads like a light novel - and with a heavy emphasis on the Southern charm. There is clearly a scandal at the heart of things, since the heroine has a father that the town knows was a result of an illicit affair. Now that her beloved grandmother has died, she returns to run the cafe for 2 months, before heading to med school. The blackbird pies hold secrets, and customers purchase the pies to get answers. I am sure our heroine will find some answers to her life and purpose as she stays and runs the cafe.
