Fried Green Tomatoes at the Winn-Dixie

This book excerpt reminds me of two other book I have read "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe" and "Because of Winn-Dixie." It may just be the Southern setting, but there is still that sap and drawn-out charm present in most books set in that area.
