First, the cover caught my eye. And then blackbird pie. Is that really a thing? Second, after reading the synopsis, it seems right up my ally. I love stories that tell about family and have a bit of magical realism. The synopsis made me think of Sarah Allen Addison’s books, which I love. I’m looking forward to reading this one!
