Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe initially drew my attention with that lovely, charming cover, and while magical realism is far from my favorite genre, I found the description intriguing enough to check out the sample. I was quickly absorbed into the author's writing, and loving the main character, Anna Kate. I'm already incredibly interested in her story, and I'm totally looking forward to this book's release.
