I have very mixed emotions on Members Only, hence the neutral three-star rating. Books that look into the minds of others, allowing us to see their flaws and unique view of the world always interest me. It is this outlook that drew me to Members Only.
The main character, Raj, and I do not have much in common, with the exception of tennis. His outlook on the world would be one that I could only get by reading about it in a book. Is Raj flawed? Oh yes, but aren't we all? Does Raj make some poor decisions? Oh yes. But again, it can happen to the best of us. No one is perfect.
My mixed emotions stem from the fact that I don't know how I feel about Raj, even at the end of the book. Did the author want us to like him or hate him? I'm really not sure.
