The start of this sample is surprisingly low key yet wordy, as we follow the main character mingling with various couples in a self-conscious way. There is a nervous energy to the writing. The blurb/main book description sounds utterly interesting though so I'm sure there is more than meets the eye to this storyline. The faux pas that the main character commits is quite cringe worthy to read though, and it occurs pretty early on. I am curious how the main voice of the narrative will evolve and the nature of the other characters detailed.
