It can happen to anybody, one careless little remark or slightly off color joke and you are labeled a racist. This is what is happening to the protagonist Raj in this novel. Being called a racist is a serious accusation, especially when it doesn't apply and the person has to defend him or herself. Being an immigrant myself and a witness of accurances in today's America this book will prove itself to be very important. It would be a great read for a book club for there will be the need to talk about it and open up a discussion regarding the subject of racism.
