For starters, I would like to express how little interest I have in the Magic card game. I am both not into collecting cards nor am I into any specific kind of game or tournament fandom.
However, I feel like I'm truly missing out because my nephew is a huge fan of the game and it's easy to see how the friendship and cameaderie he has developed within his Magic community is amazing.
I entered a contest to win a copy of this book because I knew my nephew would love it and he does. To say this book is comprehensive is an understatement. The book includes all Magic cards to date and information on the rarity and value of various cards. Yes, the internet can provide such information, but why would a fan waste valuable Magic-playing time doing research when that research has already been done. This is a great resource.
