So here is the deal. I love Magic the Gathering just like the next girl and love to learn more about the history of the game and trading potential of cards.

With that being said this book seems like a relic from a time long past. With the ever-changing market for these little pieces of cardboard and the availability of information directly from Wizards of the Coast, I have to give this book a hard pass.

Maybe if the author stuck more with the history not just of how Magic was created, but its impact on the larger gaming sphere from card games to esports, I might find this book more interesting.

At the end of the day, the information in this book is not going to be relevant within a month and even though I want more Magic and tabletop gaming literature, this just isn't going to cut it.
