This book is a collector's dream. Whether you just play with friends, at a game store, or competitively, if you like to collect and play magic this will be the book for you. It covers MtG from it's beginning up to 2017, featuring price lists for every printing of every card you could ask for. While the price lists included in the book may not be the most helpful thing to include since the market is always fluctuating, it is still interesting to see just how high (or low) some of the cards can go!
While this is not really practical for the casual fan- since most of it *is* admittedly obsolete listings, it is a good starting point if you are trying to price your collection to see what you have from each set and what you want to part with. I do wish it had more history and art and less listings, but it is still a solid book.
