The book has a good overview of all magic sets since the game first came out up until early 2018. Instead of being just another book written by someone not even invested or having really played the game, the author seems to have a good sense of the magic and it's rich history.
I'd love to read more to see how in-depth the author goes into each block of magic since the start.
