Magic for Liars by Sarah Gailey has proven to be a difficult book to read because I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. There were a lot of things I struggled with, but I also found it completely entertaining and engaging, which leaves me mixed and unsure!

I feel like my biggest issue with this book that I'd like to touch on is that I felt like I just always wanted more. The synopsis of this book made it seem like there would be a bit more to the plot and world and magic system, where I felt like it just could have been expanded more. What was available in the book wasn't bad and I really enjoyed it, but there was still more I wish I had been able to explore.

Outside of that, I really did have fun following Ivy Gamble on her adventures on this book. Again, there could have been more to keep the plot exciting, but all in all Ivy was a likable and entertaining character that really made this novel something great. I decided to give it four stars because of the fact that I still had so much fun with it.
