I love a good mystery and enjoy well done supernatural/fantasy genre so I was expecting to really like this book. The concept is there but I found the story to be a bit boring. It starts off with such a great scene in the library but then I found myself bogged down in the details instead of carried along with the mystery. Maybe I was a bit bored with the narrator, Ivy, and felt like the the setting should have been more interesting. Ivy's relationship with her sister -- and the feelings each has about magic -- is slow to be unpacked. The high school setting allows for lots of interesting characters but I just didn't quite have it all gel.
