I had such high hopes for this book. I started it with a friend of mine. She loved it and read it in like a week, but I had such a hard time getting into this book. I sadly, wasn't enjoying it enough to continue hence the 2 star rating. I feel so bad to give a 2 star rating but it just didn't live up to my expectations. It has such a unique premise, think a dark version of Harry Potter with a murder mystery twist. I'm not going to give up on this book. I do hope, at some point, to revisit it with a clear perspective and hopefully reevaluate my rating.
