I entered to win an advanced readers copy of this book, but I didn't win. When it was released I was on the fence about purchasing a copy, but my friend did on release date. Once she finished reading it, she shared her copy with me. I was surprised to find that I enjoyed the novel much more that I initially thought that I would. The story, as other reviewers have highlighted, at times reminds me of Harry Potter, however I think Harry Potter flowed a little better. This story involved magic and some eccentric characters. Overall, I liked the story and would recommend it to others. If you were a fan of the Harry Potter series, I think this book may be of interest to you as well.
