Ivy Gamble is a private investigator. She lives in a normal world and is determined to keep it that way. But when the school where her sister teaches calls her to investigate a murder, she has a hard time keeping that illusion up. Her sister has magical talents, skills that Ivy never showed any proclivity for. That's okay with Ivy, she likes it that way. But it has drawn a wedge between the sisters that makes their relationship tense, something that doesn't disappear when Ivy has to question everyone in the school-including her sister.
I loved this book! I loved the developments between Ivy and her sister, Ivy and one of the male teachers. It was fun and light but still had a little depth and mystery. The problem is, I want more. I want the story to continue and for more to happen with certain plot points. Here's hoping Sarah Gailey has more to offer for Ivy Gamble!
