The plot of the story had sounded really intriguing, but unfortunately I didn't mesh with the writing style. I even tried the audiobook to get me through it, but I still could not finish this book. It seems that I'm in the minority, so if the story sounds interesting definitely give it a try! It is a urban fantasy; the main character--Ivy--is a private detective hired to investigate a murder at a magical boarding school. Her sister is also a magic user. But I didn't feel attached to the characters or drawn in enough by the mystery and plot to keep me reading. I probably will not be trying another book by this author again, as her writing style does not seem to be for me...did not finish this book.
