After reading what other people have written about this book on Goodreads, I'm hesitant to read it and yet still very hopeful that it will live up to the hype. A lot of people are comparing it to "The Magicians" - which is one of my favorite shows/book series. I normally hate when readers compare books to other books out there because they almost never live up to the expectations. I'm definitely going to be reading this book though, mostly because of the magic aspect and the noir mystery plot. The cover is cool too!
