I was really excited to read this book and it didn't disappoint! The first chapter hooked me and I was ready to find out what happened to Lainey. There was a lot of world building and story telling to get to before we come back to "the present" time. The time building up to the mystery made me really interested to learn why Silas left Jade and why he continued to seem interested in her.
I thought I had figured out the twist that was coming, but I was only partially right. When others turned up dead, the mystery only deepened. The only thing I would consider as a complaint was how convoluted the actual twist was. It took a lot of rereading to get straight what actually happened and not what Jade had presumed as real.
I'd like to see a follow up to this book that talks about what happens after CoB ended or the time between when Felix left and the end of CoB. Overall, a good read that I would recommend to those that are interested in a good mystery!
