I've certainly been known to enjoy a YA mystery/thriller or two in my time, but while the prologue of this one starts out with a sufficient gut-punch (and more than enough blood), the actual flow of the book starts with a narrative voice that was just a bit grating to my ear, so I couldn't get into it.
