I was hooked right away by this sample. I loved seeing Val's never-give-up spirit as she worked through one obstacle after another to get onto the Titanic. I'm always intrigued by Titanic stories, that mixture of hope and elation of riding on this amazing, new vessel, while knowing what fate awaits them. Already I'm biting my nails with worry over Val, Jamie, Bo, Wink, and Olly, and what they'll do when the inevitable times comes. Great set-up with characters and conflict, plus a very interesting goal of joining the circus. The cover drew me in as well.
