Valora dreams of leaving England and being a circus performer in New York and now with a ticket on the Titanic that is all just an ocean away. She is turned away at the gangway for being Chinese, but Valora is desperate to audition for a prominent circus owner and see her brother Jamie who has spent several years at sea. Thanks to years of acrobat training Val slips on as a stowaway. As she journeys across the Atlantic she worries about finding Jamie and convincing the circus owner to take her on, but one night the problems become petty and it's all about survival on a sinking ship.
I absolutely love historical fiction and have read The Downstairs Girl and enjoyed it a lot. I especially love stories about the Titanic and find it very fascinating, this sounds like a really interesting book that I definitely want to read!
