Back in 2016 while my husband and I were binge-watching Netflix, we came across a documentary called Minimalism: A Documentary About The Important Things. Little did I know how much my ways of thinking and doing would change.
Minimalism is living with less, a lot less. Only having possessions that have a purpose or need. So instead of focusing on material objects, you can focus on what important values take up your place, time, and life.

Fast forward to 2021 and my family and I are still practicing minimalism. Needless to say, I was stoked to get a copy of Love People Use Things!

In Love People Use Things, we learn that Minimalism is so much more than just clearing clutter in our homes, it is about working on your inner self and giving yourself a fresh new perspective as to why we are emotionally attached to objects and what void we are trying to fill with these material things that we don’t need.
At the end of each chapter, there are questions you can ask yourself to help on your minimalist journey and retain the information in the chapters.

The only thing I didn't like is the book is a bit repetitious. I enjoyed the fresh new insight but some of Love People Use Things was repetitious of their documentaries and their prior book. But overall this is a very enjoyable read. I would recommend this to anyone who is not already very familiar with Josh and Ryan or anyone curious about the minimalist movement.

Love People Use Things goes on sale July 13 from Celadon books. Many thanks to Bookishfirst and Celadon for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review!
