This book presents a very approachable take on minimalism. It includes personal narratives on the authors' own journeys towards living a more minimalist lifestyle and it includes many practical tips in each chapter for those wanting to embrace a more minimalist lifestyle. The tips offered are not drastic but rather manageable practices to incorporate into readers' daily lives. I know that there are many suggestions that I have reflected on long after I've read them. The most notable suggestions include gifting experiences instead of trinkets and evaluating whether to keep items through the spontaneous combustion principle. The authors further delve into the topic by analyzing how minimalist principles can affect multiple facets of life from one's relationships to one's health. I did take off one star because the author's tone did seem judgmental towards others at one point and that I didn't appreciate.
