I won an ARC copy of this book through a BookishFirst giveaway. All opinions are my own.

I was a little skeptical going into this one, and it might be because I have read too many (is that a thing?) romances lately. I mean, hyping up for February and all... but this book proved me wrong! I did wish there were a little more "golden hour" balcony chats between the characters, but they had such great chemistry it was easy to see them together. The main characters honestly brought out the best in each other, and like love sick teenagers they ignored their feelings for too long thinking the other would not reciprocate. Also, there is one chapter in general that is CRAZY steamy, so I would not recommend this to any YA readers out there.

This book had me smiling, in tears, and longing for the parents the MC's never had. I can relate with them about having absent parents, but it does not make it suck any less. I will be honest in saying I thought Will was going to find out Donny was his real father? Kind of disappointed he was just an uncle that turned down taking Will in as a kid....anyway this story is very much family oriented with a reluctance to change, but then turns to say change can be good in moderation. It is all about balance, you know?

I really enjoyed this read and I had a hard time putting it down! I always wanted to see how the MC's would "sabotage" each other next, just to see them make up again. Love at First was an easy read and I enjoyed the authors writing style too. Perfect book for the month of love!
