Well, I guess you need to read more chapters in order to get the gist of the prologue. I got lost as to the role Uncle Donny played and why all of a sudden Will inherits Donny's apartment when Donny didn't have any interest in Will. I presume that the missing pieces to the story unfolds eventually.
