Started Strong
This book hooked me right from the beginning. It was an instant like at first look and the early chapters kept me engaged. I always enjoy multiple perspectives as a reader, but at times Locust Lane got a bit confusing. There were so many characters to keep straight, especially with all the connections, that I found myself going back more than a few times to remind myself who was who and what was what. Once I got the characters down though, which was about halfway through, I remained interested and the story flowed well. Speaking of flowing well, a lot of the multiple perspectives were synchronous- a tough task but done well in this novel. I had a fair amount of theories about what happened to Eden, and I was left guessing for quite a while. I was let down by the ending though - it sort of just fizzled in the end when I was anticipating a BIG bomb! Overall, enjoyed the book and would recommend it for mystery lovers.
