Locust Lane is a richly woven mystery surrounding affluence and the secrets and lies they harbor surrounding a young woman's death.

This was a wonderful early release from Celadon and Macmillan Audio. Technically my second read now too. The audiobook is narrated by Cassandra Campbell with expert quality and atmosphere for my followers who enjoy to listen like I do.

The unique way the author leaves clues in the different points of view kept me engaged. Even though I didn't come across anything I'd label as hugely surprising, the plot flows well and kept me entertained. The way the puzzle pieces come together is seriously well done. It even took me a pretty good bit to decide who did what. The author did a good job of throwing in red herrings and tying everything into relevant themes of family loyalty, small town gossip and wealth. Watching everything come together was exciting.

Fun fact, I have mixed feelings on the ending which is also the area that tipped the scales up on my rating. In a sense I wanted more for one particular character but in another sense it's so damn eerily poetic too. It just makes you wanna throw the book and high-five the author all at once.

I recommend Locust Lane to those who enjoy mysteries and thrillers.
