I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It moves at a breakneck pace. There are teenagers, multiple points of view, a shadow in the woods, domestic drama, secrets with agendas, unexpected twists, and a thought-provoking ending. An intense slow-burn that didn't push the boundaries to the point of "that could never happen". The suspense is high, and the plot twists are convincing.
Some parts were a little heavy on backstory, but they kept my interest throughout. There are a lot of adults involved in this mess, and each one is either grieving the death of a teenager, trying to clear a teenager's name, or trying to clear a teenager's name. The day is ruled by money, excellent lawyers, and cops who have already convicted someone in their heads. The reality is that Even if they did not murder Eden, no one is without guilt.
These are not good people, and this is not a good environment. I'd definitely pick up this book again for a reread.
