Very few things unite the modern world: war, FIFA World Cup, the endless ear worms from Frozen, Avengers Movies. But in March of 2020, just as Elsa predicted, we went into the Unknown. And while we all experienced some variation of the world coming to a halt in those pre-dawn light days of the pandemic, not everyone experienced the exact same thing which, in the long run, is starting to become an interesting sociological case study as well as contemporary novels.

Lockdown on London Lane is set in those early days of the pandemic when we held our collective breathe unsure if this new plague would sweep through like plagues of the ancient world resembling dementors. It could have gone sideways real quick. For the characters of Lockdown on London Lane, it did go sideways real quick in those early days of knee jerk reactions. While something that many of us experienced not very long ago might not sound appealing, this realistic fiction novel truly holds the meaning of the Dennis Haysbert quote, "sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying." Or if you're feeling nostalgic for those weird early days or need a reminder that maybe your lockdown wasn't as bad. Either way, Beth Reekles will take you on a trip down memory lane to London Lane.
