I was hesitant at first to read something about the pandemic and lockdowns but the lightness of the cover and the fact it was an ensemble rom com piece allowed me to open myself and relive 2 years ago through this cute novel.
I thought the all the stories were adorable and well thought out to make the idea that you're reading a COVID rom com a little better. While it wasn't the greatest and deepest of writing, sometimes a little slow, I found that I preferred that. The way Reekles was able to fully develop such strong characters and keep their stories so strong was very impressive (this can get muddled in some ensemble books) and I really loved that!
I'm still not over the last story and I found the bridezilla story hard to read (I also had many friends have post ponned weddings). The humor and light heartedness of the book was absolutely perfect.
