This is an interesting take on the isolation issues faced during the pandemic. Placing them all in the same building is a nice touch. We are given a variety of scenarios to watch unfold, some of which are funny, some poignant, some even depressing. Some of the tales are of course more interesting than others and some are rather far-fetched possibilities. I thought the one-night-stand situation was one of the most interesting. And then there are Ethan and Charlotte on the opposite side of the situation, a couple now completely separated. What a situation in which to be placed! Still, if one buys the original premise of such an abrupt and total lockdown, then perhaps anything is possible. The book does provide some nice introspection into what each of us may when stretched beyond the normal limits of human interaction. All in all, an interesting and thought-provoking book.
