In a world where there is still a pandemic, people are ready to write and read about lockdowns. In this case, an apartment building is entirely locked down after a case is confirmed. While this seems a little extreme, it certainly may have been something that occurred in March 2020. People are not allowed to leave or enter so a one-night stand gets stuck and a girlfriend (who lives in the building?) is not allowed to enter. Again, seems odd, but so was all of 2020.
