That first bit really grabbed my attention. It is shocking and full of fantastical imagery. I was intrigued from the start. I love the way the two (I believe they are goddesses) goddesses are described. They just felt so larger than life and unreal and yet in the story they are very real. I love that imagery and world building. The story start gave me great interest in the main character because her story starts out so sadly. I’m sure that means she will do amazing things in the story because isn’t that usually the way of stories. I did already purchase this for the school library and I got the Illumicrate edition so I’m already sold on this book. I love the cover. The colt scheme is gorgeous and has such a different vibe than most teen books. I actually thought it was written for adults based on the cover alone which I think is a good choice. Gives it a larger audience.
