The book opens with a super intriguing scene, Death and Lady Luck dealing with a woman in a forest. The way the scenes are described in the book is extremely vivid. Whilst reading, I was able to envision every scene in my mind's eye. Vanja is a complex, cunning character and the reader is immediately drawn to her.
I really enjoyed the setting of Little Thieves. It was described super well and the language that is spoken isn't used too extensively and it is easy for the reader to comprehend. The character descriptions are super insightful and true to how someone in that station would truly act. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and that's just after reading the first 20 pages.
