I really liked this book! It was somewhat different from a lot of other fairy tale retellings that I have read before... although it helps that I had never heard the story of the golden goose before this. I think that the characters were well developed and interesting to read about. I thought that there were several good twists and turns that happened throughout the story as well, some things that I did not see coming and some things that I was extremely happy about. There was a cute romance that was age appropriate for a Young Adult book that I thought added a nice touch to the story.
I think that the writing was easy to follow and although there were a few times that I was initially confused about the fantasy world, the confusion was cleared up pretty quickly throughout the section.
Overall, this was a very good book and I was very excited to hear that the author is writing a sequel to this story.
