Little Thieves was one of my most anticipated young adult reads of the year, and it lived up to the hype. So many of my friends were jealous that I got my hands on an early copy from Bookish First. Even though it's a retelling of the Goose Girl, the story has a life of its own. The characters are dynamic and the world building is phenomenal. Everything is pieced together with expertise. The writing style is captivating. My only gripes are common ones for me....there were parts that were described too much, overly informative, and which led to inconsistent pacing of the story. Overall, I sipped this book like a flavorful, aromatic, never cooling cup of tea that I didn't want to end. I'll definitely watch this author in the future and put her previous works on my TBR.
