I believe that this was my first read by the author, Margaret Owen, but it did not disappoint! I really enjoyed this story and the adventure that she took us on. This is a twist, or a retelling, of a Brother's Grimm tale, and I have found that if done right, retellings can be so much fun to read! This book definitely reminded me of author Marissa Meyer and her many retellings.
Also, let's talk about the STUNNING cover. Wow, this is definitely what drew me in at first, before I read the summary, because just look at it! I love the artwork, the colors, the details! This cover was just done insanely well, and I want to say well done to whoever created this work of art!
