Cunningly brilliant
The synopsis had already interested me by telling me it was a retelling from the Brothers Grimm. So I had to take a peek.
Immediately, I became sucked into the story. The world building provides just enough detail that's is an adequate amount but not too much.
Plus at the very beginning finding out the main character is the thirteenth daughter of the thirteenth daughter was crazy. Then the mother trying to pawn her off!
But the absolute brilliance of her is staggering. The calculations are immaculate.
I was so mad when the first peek needed with "and this is the story of how I got caught." Like no! I need more. I need to know how she gets caught and who catches her!
