The rest of the sample was fantastic. I haven't read the synopsis because I want to enter this book blindly, so I do not know what to expect, and it makes me all the more eager for more.
If I don't win a copy, I'll certainly be pre-ordering one.
The title initially turned me off because--paired with the cover--I thought this was a middle grade book. I started seeing a lot of buzz about this book on social media, and I'm glad I took the time to read the excerpt. Someone slap my hand for judging this book by its cover!
