This book caught my attention from the blurb. A girl who has both death and fortune as her godmothers. Stealing from a god, turning into jewels omg this sounds like the best book ever. As I was reading the sneak peak Vanja captured my attention with the first hint of her trickery using pearls to be a princess named Gisele for almost a year, then with her pretending drunk so she will be able to fool everyone so she may steal something more. This girl is the most amazing fmc that I've ever read. Her ability to fool these people not only as Gisele, but also Greta Gisele's maid for 10 years. But most of all it was the last part that captured my heart and made me want to cry out and stomp my feet like a 5 year old and demand this book now...."her name was not Gisele, nor was it Greta, nor even pfennigeist.
