LITTLE DARLINGS by MELANIE GOLDING was so much more than I expected. It was a mix of psychological thriller with a lot of folklore/grimms fairy tale mixed in. I was equally scared and fascinated at the same time as I tried to navigate the story.
The author did such a fantastic job of keeping me reading until late in the night because I just couldn't walk away until I knew what was going on. I had so many ideas of what was actually happening, but in the end I was wrong...which is my favorite kind of story to read.
It was disturbing, dark and suspenseful and kept me furiously turning the pages. This was an exceptional debut novel and I look forward to reading whatever Melanie Golding's comes up with next!
