I'm not much for mysteries and thrillers, but this one has grabbed my attention. The concept of a worn out mother seems harmless, but what if there's more to it than that. I love that this story starts at a present moment and then goes back to the past only to work it's way forward to the present and hopefully beyond again. I also love that this story has combined fairy tales with a thriller aspect as a very unique way of bringing to life while also disconnecting us from our worst fears. I can't say as I feel any connection to the main character, which may serve to make this story into an emotionally safer read for me. If I were being honest though, I hate unhappy endings, and therfore I'm scared to read it. So maybe I'll read it...
