This book was gripping from the very start for me. The author’s depiction of new mother, Lauren’s labor and delivery of her twins was totally relatable to any mother. The following chapters, you truly feel the exhaustion that comes with caring for newborns. When events with the mysterious woman begin to unfold, I wavered between the question of is this reality, or is it an episode brought on by her postpartum. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I will say that the book left me guessing until the very end. I loved the interweaving of fairy tales through out the book, and the perspective of the investigator as well. I would recommend this book to mothers especially, because I feel that there’s relatable fears and emotions in this book. If you love edge of your seat reads, than this book is for you. I’m giving it 4 stars rather than 5 because I feel that some of the interactions of characters near the end of the book weren’t really necessary or adding to the story. It’s been said that there will be a movie made of this book, I surely hope so!!
