The writing in this one was extremely lovely but I just didn’t click with the MC. Maybe it’s because me being a mom as well, I just couldn’t connect with the feelings the MC was feeling. There was still so much to like here. And I would like to see where the story goes from here. My hopes are that it is somewhere dark and mysterious, but from the blurb it sounds like there will be a lot of external struggles with the mom, which is fine. I’ll also say that the cover and blurb drew me in right away! I love eerie feels and anything that has trees or branches on it! So while I’m not a hundred percent convinced about this one, I’ll still give it a shot and see where it goes! Can’t wait to take the journey!
