3.5 stars, this was a book out of my genre-comfort zone once I got into it. It’s a mixture of mystery and fantasy, which is not really what I was expecting. I am somewhat disappointed I didn’t like this book, as the concept sounded so good/creepy. The characters were mostly unlikeable, but I think they were supposed to be that way. The ending did have me thinking but could’ve done better. I listened on audio, so maybe I would’ve felt different about this book if i physically read it. If you’re into fantasy or fairy tales, you should give this book a chance and keep an open mind!
