Little Darlings is the story of a woman who gives birth to twins and believes that her own babies were stolen. In their place she was left with two babies, who although identical to her own, she believes are not hers. While in the hospital she is adamant that a strange woman entered the hospital room and tried to switch babies with her. There is no evidence and no one believes her.
This book reads like a Grimm’s fairy tale and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it at first. I usually like mysteries and thrillers that are based in reality. I was pleasantly surprised because I loved rhis book and couldn’t put it down. It is told through the perspectives of Lauren, the mother who evetyone thinks is crazy, and a female detective who is also in the same situation of no one believing her. It was like a fairy tale based in reality. I am si glad that I gave this book and this genre a chance!
