Everyone around Lauren thinks she's sleep deprived and possibly mad. After a terrifying event in the maternity ward, she goes home with an unhelpful husband and the sense that she can't leave her newborn twins alone for a minute.
DS Harper has a hunch that Lauren isn't as mad as everyone thinks she is.
Add a creepy ex-girlfriend, and flirtatious reporter and a gruff supervising officer, Little Darlings has all the makings of a classic.
Great debut from an author I hope to read more from.
