This book is absolutely wonderfully atmospherically dreadful. From the very beginning pages you get the sense that something is just...off. And it continues until the moment the woman tries to make the deal to trade a baby. Is this just deep postpartum psychosis or is something a little more magical afoot? I can't wait to find out!
